The moon represents my heart’s aspiration. It is the greatest gift that any god willed to man The moon is the sword of determination To be wielded in virtue’s hand. The forces of darkness that are at hand To swamp me and drown me in my own skin Break apart, in their own senseless trend Beaten down by the superman within It will herald the sun that we win From the labour of the sword and the spade By which we transcend both earth and sin For that wholeness that God, just for us alone, made…
Behold the power of the Lord, o earth made thine! This is the power that soon thou must learn to need.
Jeanne: Hello visitors....Thanks for dropping by. Lets revive Poetic Horizons. I'm very tired of Facebook and have never felt comfortable posting poetry there. So look around and register. Lets get this place moving!

There is a place where the sidewalk ends
And before the street begins,
And there the grass grows soft and white,
And there the sun burns crimson bright,
And there the moon-bird rests from his flight
To cool in the peppermint wind.
Let us leave this place where the smoke blows black
And the dark street winds and bends.
Past the pits where the asphalt flowers grow
We shall walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And watch where the chalk-white arrows go
To the place where the sidewalk ends.
Yes we'll walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And we'll go where the chalk-white arrows go,
For the children, they mark, and the children, they know
The place where the sidewalk ends.
