Extremis First Day In Reality
That was on the paper on his front desk as he looked at it smiling. "Hmmm, Oh my..." he said softly. This is what it said before him under the title of the paper. This caused him to bite his lip in an offenced discuss. Why is this on my front desk and why is it out in plain sight? This was another one of those things which made his day surprising, but interesting. Why would anyone leave that on my desk, it's anyone's guess. His thoughts started getting too scattered about in all that mess he noticed on that paper, on the bottom, his name was signed in cursive and he glomped at it.
Anyone can see it and sure sha'll I. I might remember this day, not everyday you see a short memorbilia about Tony. This was also on the sheet at the farther bottom telling of his assessments. He decided now to keep these in a file for the day. This was two paragraphs on one piece of paper with a description of him at the top right with his name signed at the bottom left. This can be a good storage note that might remind me about thing in of importance for proper filing.
Someone suddenly walked in with a short termed knock on the door. He jumped three feet at the sound. "Who is it?" he called.
"Hello, snooping on my paper? I bet it is important, is it not? I bet this paper is because you are sure interested in it. Here, Look at what it says. I like it. Has anyone told you that it had came in this earily? I just noticed it on my desk," Extremis said smiling broudly. Extremis held out his hand toward Pepper and suggested that she may have a veiw of the paper. The paper was a notation of Tony's recent past history. "I know this may seem odd, but it is way too interesting to put down myself, this paper is better then most I look at daily. Sometimes, I wonder why I was given this job," Extremis spoke calmly.
Looking down, Extremis staired at the floor trying to get an image of the designs in the carpet. "This sheet I got today is good, but I rather have gotten something a little more worth my time to read. I read nothing else to begin my days work. How pittyful and disobedient. I know I am still new here and I may comply to that, but not to start with a piece of paper and not getting over it," Extremis said now stomping the floor.
Extremis felt comfortable with the idea of being an intern for a person he know also was familiar with J.A.R.V.I.S. He liked that young looking man with such a hair style which seemed to make him feel as if he were going to fall over when he saw the blond haired man. Thinking back to the paper, he wondered who left it there. Was it like a telegram for him to look toward instead of a personal letter by the one who had left it. He knew also that she was trying to help him gain a great career and life style for himself to live well. He also wanted to be like everyone else, a US citizen. "As for this paper, take it to Tony and tell him that it was on my desk first thing this morning. Tell you what, I will if you are too tired to do it. I know it is my upmost responsiblity to take care of things like this. I wish you well though, Pepper," Extremis said assuring her.
"Hello, Jarvis, if you didn't know, I was wondering what you were. I am glad you can deal with that paper. I though, also want a copy of the same article. I like that one, Pepper. I also am considerate to this fellow, Jarvis, for visiting me. What is his means here? I hope it's fair to me as it is for him. I personally wanted more, I wanted to get to know him. I will consider the idea of letting him give me a better purpose here in my work. I am sure everyone will be settled by the time I got through with my time with Jarvis. Seeing the look upon Jarvis face is quite amuzing, Pepper. I think he needs some cold ice water. I bet Jarvis is a hand full. He sure gives you all the time. I have always thought this J.A.R.V.I.S was just a system program for Tony only in just one prespective, not an android in the form of a human. It could have either been a man or a woman, I believe it wouldn't have mattered. Though, Tony might of went on with making it a man, so, if it is just me, that is simply just fine," Extremis said with a shaky voice once he mentioned Jarvis.
Extremis loved to examine things by hand and read by words. She was just a hands on and visual learner. She was just being honest with Pepper and curious about Jarvis. If he was going to work with her, they were surly going to get a chance to form a bond. Of course she had feelings, that she definately was going to teach them to him so he can function to a women his size. Oh how sweet would that be, a chance for him to live his most wonderful part of his life. A moment to get out of his box and spread out wide. He can even tell the other employees here what beneifits he'd get out of me, she thought, referring to the benefits of opportunity. He proably is in a shell waiting to see the world in a larger point of view. Life is too short to let loss by time and vary by minutes that pass so frequently. I know how it feels to let loose of the times of the past and enjoy the future outlooks of situations coming one after another, each coming hour as which she saw it while working steadly daily.
She watched as she looked up toward the window as she glimsped to the two front trees that extended in front of the viewing panal. They were citris trees of evergreen gesture and appearence. They would stay green since he had remembered of last winter, when Tony was worn out the most from all his work and up and down constant movement without a lot of sleep. What a painful memory upon Tony's part, thought Extremis, he over ran his self, I pity him dearly. The only one was me, who picked him up off his back to keep going and not give up on his set goals that time. Her thought ran after her, about everything. The past year even, she was already two years old when his friend, Rhodey got War Machine as she has heard. Two birds were starting a nest in one of the trees she was facing, it was so interesting how birds know what to do for their young. Maybe I should know what to do about everything, including my future. He thoughts began to race a bit, she began to shake inside. Was her life about to change forever?
"Oh, don't take it so seriously, Pepper, I just got nervous, plus I didn't know what to say. I appologize, and the same for Jarvis. Oh, Jarvis, have a seat, tell Pepper, this is between us. (wispering in ear to Jarvis) I know this might be somewhat better if I just keep cool she thought. I hope I am not too much for him, I am just an armor. I sometimes don't think of myself as a suit though, it is too irritating, and I sometimes wish to be human, do what they do to get a guy in terms of how. I hope I am not going too far with my work, better get back to it, before I split into, halves. I can gain information very quickly and store it in huge concocking amounts. This information is congruent to my thoughts and style of applying the information down in the opporation of input into output. To understand how I process information, I have to study my own penship. I am ready to take on these feats of knowledge and mastery of high tech information from the clients. I will do my task appropreiately and slowly so I will beable to check to mistakes or errors. I know the physics of a whole of this job, there is no telling what I can do next, I could jip Stark Enterprises out of their scientific working acheives and archives. I can gain power through being a comprehender of words and phrases, not numbers so much. I can grab money into my metal pocket one day with the asspiration of tolorance and systematic interpretation. I will try thus far to gain more than where I am now, to set a goal for myself concerning my job. I declare myself independent and justworthy of other people's oath and promise to at least supply me with what I earn daily. I know the currency here is high and very demandable to grab if not on trees. My account is not so calming and will not deny my wallet. I have a tiny square on, not a rectangle, unless I can't get enough of it. Well, as for you Jarvis, you can organize the papers and take a copy of the one I just gave her, I need to it to put in file. Stack them up in order once you do that first task. I will get to work now, pushing all those Enterprises notes, please, get them all in order. I feel sardiney in here, too many papers falling into the floor, mess is to be picked up, Jarvis. I am not a sitting trash disposal," Extremis said feeling relaxed finally.
"The declaration of independence is on the way by the door, Jarvis. I can throw a dart at it sometimes, to pass my mass of time as I work with expandable words and numbers on papers I think I loss number of count of. Life is meant to relax in, its too short to let go by if you want to enjoy every moment of it. As a suit of armor, I believe that way, life passes at each moment you breathe. Back to money, it is hard to come by, please save every penny you get, and don't throw it. The continuimum is not waiting on us, we have to obey it entirely with our joy of the achnoledgement of how it turns or passes, as the hands on that clock above my head on the right does. I am glad your here, Jarvis, what a help for me, someone to depend on to pick up my junk or is it my maker's junk or garbage," Extremis began to tell and explain to Jarvis about the moments in her life.
"Jarvis, just please relax with me, we need to get along now. Jarvis, lets play cards when we're done, we can enjoy that very much so, we can gain upon our own hopes to stay in this or long times ahead, we'd already be out. I wish my desk wasn't like this, I want it to not be so over flowing with so many papers and bulletins and sheets of old penned bent up scedules and tabs of old stale candies nobody ever eats in the bowl every holiday and weekend. I am still taste the old air since nobody changes the fliters around here and cleans the furnature and cabinets. Who's going to sharpen my pencils and find all my missing pens and paper clips. Oh, no computer to help me install any information like clean up ile four or nine in a half. That is my room of course, room eight. "Faulty Brakes" says one of the papers, I need to personally give this to Stark and discuss his moment at a time when his parents died due to them. I wish he had a better outcome at that harsh moment in his life when a flash of uncertainty came by him in so much as seconds that counted on his next move if he was determined to live. His parents fates where upon him and left him in a ditch strandid for hours or as long as he might could remember. I wonder what they ran into, a traffic collision? He is lucky to be alive, was he hospitalized afterwards when he was found lying down and barely alive maybe. That must have been scarey to experience at such a young age. I think I will file that for right now and take it to him later on. Well, any luck, Jarvis?," Extremis said continued being simply relaxed.
"Well, I am sorry Jarvis, I will come down and explain. I am new here, as you can finally realize as the obvious. I am unsure of what to do around here, and I am just wanting some help. I am glad you're here to help. You and I will hopefully get along as I've said. I am sure will get our work done right. Thanks for your assureness to do so," Extremis said after surrpassing all that crazy small talk about nothing important.
She looked at him and rubbed his shoulder, hoping that he'd relax and get to the job. He looked tensed to her as she could see. She wanted to bring if she could, some comfort. I am trying to think of others, honestly, she thought. I know somewhere, deep inside, he has little feelings. Why not show some courage, she thought onward. "I am glad you can have peace, that is peace of mind," Extremis said softly. She then went ahead and started working on her current assignment. She didn't want to upset anyone else, she was through started unnessecary conversations or gossup behind her back about what she blurrs out without thinking or knowing what she is talking about, like just recently. She was now aware of herself and wanted to apologize about it in private or just change her ways so it won't happen again. She knew this because of the looks on their faces and expressions.
She wanted to begin this thought by thinking before the words processed into output or words. She in otherwords wanted to think before she'd speak and practice that skill daily. She should of thought about how others might react and hear that and what they may think of it, which is absurd or insane. She'd better current herself and make herseslf self aware of everything or alert about what she says. "So, Jarvis, are we going to ever see the outside world again? or are we going to stay in here and continue our job?," Extremis asked wondering.
"Oh, Gwen, that's your name, nice to meet you. I would want to know what I should do with Jarvis. I feel that he is uncomfortable with me here, is there a problem, should I leave?," Extremis said sadly. I sometimes try to be honest with these people, she thought. She turned away and aimed at leaving making a gesture sort of admitting that some of the problem might have been her fault. "I am so sorry, I won't say anything to or touch Jarvis again.
He wasn't here to do that anyway to even talk, it was Jarvis that was in charge, not me. I admit my sorrow," Extremis said lowering her head. I am a bad little suit, she thought again. She decided to exit the room. She could feel the guilt rush by her, she was sensitive to everything she was around in her environment anyway.
She ran outside and into the street as she saw several people look up at her as she was crossing. She laughed and felt better to just walk out into the fresh air. The people out there were starting to freak out seeing a walking, talking, suit of metal standing up right. They must have not understood it and ran all over the place yelling and carrying on. She laughed even harder at the sight, wondering how dumb, they aren't like that in there. No body stopped me, so I kept going to the central park to take a break and think also noticing some people were trying to get me, as she rather didn't care. "Jarvis, I sent you a note that I was out here, hello?," Extremis bellowed.
*note #1 I am in Central Park on the west side 30 degrees to the left.
"I hope he got that, I am out here, and I hear people wanting me, no matter now how they get me, oh I will just reply. COME AND GET ME! I'M OPEN...! I am the property of Tony Stark and worth lots of money. I should of shouted that out to, and I am not, too hazardous to worry now, they're after me, yay. I am so popular," Extremis said in an excited voice. She ran to a lake and sat down and the people for some reason lost interest.
After the sun starting to get a bit warm, the cicadas started chirping and she decided to go back breathing more easily enough to explain what's bothering her and how she tends to manage it and take responsibity for herself. She was to account for everything she did, not to mention all the pictures or photos the crowd might have taken of her sitting there or running away to think things out a bit, she'd calculated that she had been sitting there for half and hour since she left or was it longer. It was during the summer and she didn't really mind the fresh air or the people walking around her.
She finally made it and open the door to head back to the office to make up for her idea of leaving for the moment. She then began to explain, but she got them to tell her what they thought of it when she left and so she heard it first. "Sorry, that note is invalid, I will try again later," Extremis joked to herself as she ran and knew the importance of explaining anyway as she stood at the door of the building not trying to automatically go in yet.
Since she was gone for a while or so, she had ro remind them that she was trying to sort things out mentally about everything and understand. She ran back because of the people grouping up on her all of a sudden, scaring her. She didn't understand that either. She was oblonging not to appear afraid, but she could hide it for long. She was back quicker than she apposed to be to begin with. She was sort of shivering in fear after what she discovered about the outsiders. She finally walks in and ask the people to let her in, the security. The people on the outside start pounding on the doors from the outside right when she made it in. She went back to her office silently and opened the door of her office to tell them what had happend or occurred.
Extremis quiety walked in with her mind on what had just happened to her. She was kind of surprised about how the humans reacted toward seeing her and what they've might of thought of her being in existance. She looked down at Jarvis hoping that he would understand her in the future. She also hoped that the security wouldn't overreact about the event that occurred with the crowd that came running in from outside to get at her. They were pounding in with all that they had in order to go through all barriors to get to her no matter what it was. She stood in the doorway of her office fixing to walk in to sit at her desk again. She looked up at the sign on the door as they closed it saying, you are the one who causes problems around here, not me. See thought on that one for a bit wondering what that meant. She also heard the people or outsiders come down crashing into the hallway toward her office. A lot of them as she had noted had many cameras and pocket phones to be able to tell and show the public what Stark was hiding, as so they thought. She knew one way to resolve it if you could get away with it. To secretly show the Armory to them, then they will have something to talk and tell about to the media, she continued to think about and plan ahead with a spectacular idea.
"Well, I feel a lot better now, thanks. There is a bit of terbulance in the hallway and it is coming fast. I am glad to give them a tour, would you mind? I will be proud to do that duty. I could even sure a few thoughs they might have about this place. I like the idea," Extremis said smiling with her hopes for opportunity to do what she wanted. She stood up and let or allowed the people in and gather around her desk. "Don't worry Pepper and Gwen, I got this covered. I would like you to meet these people, just greet them, make them feel welcome. I will be pleased if you'll agree to this, I do," Extremis said continuously smiling with pride.
Extremis went back to her office frowning and yet had planned ahead. She hid about ten young teens and told them to obey her orders if they wanted to know about something big. They agreed and hid in the back of the office under where there were chairs in a set stacked up a bit. She warned them to stay down and quiet until things settled down and returned to normal routine. She was sorry to irritate Pepper, but she wanted the world to know about his work. She had a huge mainframe herself and can copy enough pictures for them and sound buffers to catch anything of their interest while engaging on their mission of sorts. She had a entrence for the Armory and knew where it was since that was where she was when she was built and was activated and installed important links/data and programs to run her. All she had to do was to time it perfectly and get them in there in the exact moment before they were seen or sensed by cameras or any other security features. She thought about it and decided when to make her move. She scanned every floor and hallway for anything or anyone before acting.
"Okay you'll, on my Q when I raise my hand. I will tell you when to get down on your knees and cat walk down quickly through the hallway, I will give directions. I will tell you when to stop and start as I instruct you. I know we'll make it if we stay together and corroperate. Do you'll understand," Extremis instructed clearly. The teenagers listened closey and heeded her warnings if they wanted to get what they really wanted which she claimed. She made sure of this and went for the prize.
She saw finally a moment later that things looked clear, and she quietly said "Lets Move", and her and the teens moved as she had told them to and they went corner to corner in every which direction, very nervous and unsettled it was. They kept their cool and went on moving and stopped when she told them everytime she noticed or sensed something unsual. Knowing that the place was on lockdown, she knew they'd lift it in due time, around the point she felt it would occur. She knew she had the guards sort of distracted by the sudden event, she could keep moving as they made their way to the Armory. She and them saw a door leading into a staircase, she wanted them to take it. She knew how far down the staircase to go to get to the Armory, and one that was a short cut, which was a simple under used hallway and hidden fortress, a door behind a book shelf.
She and them went down the stairs as swiffly as they could and they hoped to make it safely without getting caught unannounced. For the teens, following a suit was a bright idea in a way, it seemed to know the place and the surroundings, so they took that chance. She saw the hidden obsure door to the old hallway rarely used by anyone as far as she knew. They went in and walked slowly to a book shelf which the talking armor had told them about as well. They went in after she has hacked to get the password and unlach the fortress to open it into the depths of the entrence to the Armory at a rare and odd direction.
She and the teens walked in silently in awl as they took in the sight, there were so many different armors and some had writing underneath some of them telling of their origin and what and who they were for and what they were used for. They loved it and told her to take numerous pictures and sent them via the web to the world as she did so, had the sound on to record everything said and experience by the teens and gave the recordings to the teens through their e-mails and codings when they gave her that information about their contacts and webnames.
Later on, she decided to tell them to take what they wanted and stay in the Armory until she got back again. They understood and hid after taking what they wanted for themselves. She took the same route out of the Armory leaving them there and hoped they would find away to get out themselves with the armors they were now wearing. There was a hole opener at the top of the roof where Tony would leave there often as Iron Man. She activated it for them and left as for it to close automatically after they all flew out safely and quickly with their rocket boosters.
She returned to her office without one problem as she was just acting normal and simple. She finished her work and made sure everything went as she had planned. She was as for now, very happy things had finally gone her way for a day. "I am going to call it a day," she said finalizing it for the time.
Extremis wide eyed looked up and activated her boot rockets and shot through the window and excaped as a fugitive. She flew out after the protocol of the teens in their suits. She sends interferrences to block any tracking from anyone who wish to catch them. She followed the armored people and told them they had all kinds of ways to protect themselves. She made sure they were able to understand in flight. They headed outward outside of state and across the ocean.
Once, they got to a point, they came to a plain of how they were going to work together as a team. They did work together well as friends and comrads. She was so happy, now flying so freely. She wanted to figure out how she could the following armors to apply to their bodies and not be so easy to get off, make difficult for the ones if they do catch them, find it hard to get those armors off of them by any means. That she wished they'd be stuck like that for life, as she was. She wouldn't be the only armor that will always remain an armor, a suit.
She smiled at the idea and did it not telling it to the teens what she was doing to them as she was flying with them. They continued flying over seas and made sure all the area around them was clear of anything in any way. She was very glad her plan had worked so far. She thought of farther plans she would have if anything happened next, she wanted to be prepared.
She still in her heart, wanted to go back to being an intern after she and finally found a safe place to put, like a cave to hide in and is a natural blockage for signals, like mountains do as well. She found a huge deep cave in Japen on the East side of the sea panal. She landed and took them inside slowly and told them to turn on their search lights to help them see where they're going in the cave. She told them to go as deep as they could into the cavern.
As they did so, she stood there and messured how deep they where going and they were true to her word. She also hoped it might also add to the difficulty to find them if they hid there. She held her hands together tightly and bit her right lip in luck. She stood at the mouth of the cave and watched now for intruders so she could warn them to keep in hiding. She was also afraid it wasn't going to be as easy as she thought, she kept planning ahead of herself for any possible events.
After standing out there for some time, she stood there strongly to the turf and stayed permenently watching and protecting them. She knew it was now her only responsiblity. She was being truthful and honest with the teens nonetheless and wanted to continue that and gesture to them her friendship.
-The End*
