The following is a collection of ALL the haiku that have been entered in the Seasons series of haiku competions. Well done to you all, you should all feel proud of your contributions
SPRING
Jeannerene (#1)
twigs and bit of string
hope gathered under the sun
a song is promised
Jeannerene (#2)
the wild flower waves
in red, blue nod and curtsy
and miles of highway
inkpetal
rich loam scented breeze
robin's bright crimson feathers
so I wait for you
Malcolm (#1)
The salt sea wind blows
Billowing clouds dark and bright
Flee the azure sky
Malcolm (#2)
The earth becomes warm
Daffodils flower and fade
Forsythia blooms.
Malcolm (#3)
fertile comes the hour
the growth of leaf and flower
insect pests devour
Tom (#1)
Sprung from Winter's bed
Sprang from melted snows and frost
Spring leaps, green and clean
Tom (#2)
The earth worm wiggles
Falling among giggles, safe...
Hides in grass and soil
Aatiyah (#2)
Drip Drop Drip Drop Drip
Hear the water crash downward
toward the petals.
ladonna
How can we describe
the perfection of springtime
in only three lines?
Tom #3
Water of Spring flow...
Nourish Your children's deep seed...
Watch their spirits grow
Rebecca
Tiny little drop
Splashes down upon my face
Spring is here at last
Jeannerene #3
morning gems glisten
under the shade the sun smiles
prisms fall to earth
Jeannerene #4
midday wind sashays
seedlings dance and cast their fate
the end holds the new

run toward the rain

outside cold snow falls
inside warmest love blossoms
by the fireside
