Well I'm not sure what happened to the member collaborative poems/sonnets that were posted here previously, so I am posting them again. They might have been lost in the ProBroad upgrade. Please do not move or remove this thread. Thanks.

Shadows of Remorse
Brilliant flashes of envy illuminate the eyes,
They are but a portal to what inwardly lies.
His greed and denial refusing to be swayed
Deny all the tears from the choices he made.
Time flies relentless onward, his empty soul spent
Yet he kneels at the altar with hope to repent,
In a world full of shadow, the moon's fitful light
Shines brilliant on regret obscured by the night.

Death Suits Your Lover
Listen to the tap... tap... tapping, never ceasing,
Listen for the words unspoken.
Hear the monotony unceasing; increasing,
Hear the screaming in the silence,
Feel your reason slowly slither into the shadow,
Where walks the stranger and the dead.
With cold and empty eyes they beckon,
Their bony hands patiently tapping on windows and on doors.
On windows and doors, on heart and soul, mercilessly rapping,
And all with the face of your lover, become skull-like now,
Feel your fear bleed through, seeping into the shadows, attracting them,
Soul-lost and hungry faces smiling in a parody of passion.
Their vacant eyes malicious as they reach to embrace
With cold grey hands from an unquiet grave.
The searing cold manacle of their grasp,
tightens around your shameless heart.
Do you hear the screaming? Can you hear it pounding in your veins,
Where the blood still flows with ephemeral life,
through one last quivering hope upon your lover's lips?
Listen to them welcome you to your eternity.

Sunshine's Gentle Promises
When summer's liquid sunlight warms my face
And cloudless skies of blue smile on the earth,
The heath reveals a gentle resting place
To muse with humble eyes on nature's worth.
With fall's leaves helter skelter twisting dance
The glowing heathers bloom begins to fade,
Come hurry winter's bud one last romance
A christmas rose that flowers in the shade.
But what if winter's chill should steal the sun?
Not just for a night but for all of Time.
By these thoughts lofty muse, be not undone
For soon the sounds of Spring again will chime,
Though waters freeze and earth be clad in snow
The sun maintains its watch on all below.

#2 Sonnet ....

David:
original
... And Faith Resume
Which foolishness of youth should I repent?
What price to pay for secrets yet untold?
The more I think I cannot comprehend
Those mindless choices made in days of old.
The masquerade of willful love and lust
Can often lead the heart and mind astray.
As they dissolve to nothing more than dust,
Will people's prayers be answered true today?
And will those chances always be the same,
For time will pass and pillage ev'ry bloom?
As Nature drops her head in silent shame,
I say, forgive thy self, and faith resume.
For spring is met of free and heedless days,
And how can you be sad in sun's bright rays?

...And Faith Resume
Which foolishness of youth should I repent
Or will a price be paid for tales untold?
The more I think the less I comprehend
Those mindless choices made in days of old.
Twin masquerades of willful love and lust
Can often lead the heart and mind astray
Yet soon dissolve to nothing more than dust;
And what would be the answer should we pray?
But answers may not always be the same
As time flies past and pillages each bloom;
If Nature drops her head in silent shame
Can we forgive ourselves and faith resume?
Thus as we watch the sun in glory blaze
So spring will render free and carefree days.

#2 Sonnet ....
By ilikegreen, davidmm, jeannerene, alaskanrambler, gypsygirl
David:
I think we can enhance the work with a little tweaking but still maintaining the flavour of the original contributors' texts. I came up with the following which I hope meets everyone's requirements
original
... And Faith Resume
Which foolishness of youth should I repent?
What price to pay for secrets yet untold?
The more I think I cannot comprehend
Those mindless choices made in days of old.
The masquerade of willful love and lust
Can often lead the heart and mind astray.
