Palace Of Dusty Dreams

The rooms are empty now
only the ghosts remain
fingerprints in a dust of
forgotten words
dead flowers and discarded dreams
dusty sonnets and stale stanza's
This is my palace
where my Elfin Queen
spat her lovers dream
on the rim of a silver chalice.

Excellent piece, I love the mystical feeling behind this piece, "only the ghosts remain," It really gives that haunted feeling. Excellent vivid imagery.
